Technology and Testing

Flash Testing

The Louisiana Solar Energy Lab has two flash testers on site. These devices help characterize models by simulating sunlight. They can be used to track degredation and detect defective modules

Lock-In Thermography

The Lock-In Thermography device can be used to detect defects not visible to the human eye. This method of non-destructive testing can be used to characterize modules and find defects

Light Soaking Chamber

This device provides simulated sunlight exposure to modules. It can be used for tests that require long-term light exposure, like measuring photo-induced degredation
